EOBA formed part of the design team to redevelop Bow Lane, an existing warehouse building, for use as additional storage for St. James’ hospital. The works included the provision of 4 levels of storage racking in the warehouse part of the building, and internal alterations to the adjoining administration areas. EOBA first established that not all areas of the works required a fire safety certificate and disability access certificate under Part III of the Building Control Regulations. EOBA liaised with the local authority for those areas requiring an FSC / DAC application, and all other works were subject to a separate assessment of compliance with Parts B & M of the building regulations. EOBA also provided inspections and certification throughout the build process.
