Why Work for EOBA?
Our Drive
Eamon O Boyle and Associates is one of Irelands leading Fire Engineering Consultancies. Since its foundation in 2002 it has built a reputation for high quality work which is deadline driven and has the client at its centre. Building EOBA’s reputation has been easy due to its strong team ethic where all opinions are valued and there is a recognition that we build upon one another’s expertise and experience. EOBA’s ambition is not to be the biggest Fire Engineering Consultancy but to be the best “bijou” Company, where technical solutions, the client, and the staff are at the centre of what we do.
Our Culture
EOBA operates on an open and sharing policy where all staff members are aware of how the company operates, the current projects (obviously some issues are confidential) and the strategies being developed to ensure optimal technical solutions to Fire Engineering problems. This means that the scope and breadth of experience is broadened beyond the individual projects but enable all staff to understand and gain from the experience of others. EOBA can achieve this by concentrating on producing superior technical output and limiting its growth to ensure it will focus on being good rather than being “big”.
Your Professional Development
Being part of the EOBA team means that you will work with highly skilled Fire Engineers who strive for excellence in everything. EOBA are committed to and encourage continuous personal development (CPD) which is a requirement of our Quality Management System (ISO). CPD takes many forms from formal courses to in-house briefings. All staff members are supported in achieving Chartered Engineer status (or equivalent) to enable staff to develop to the highest level possible. EOBA have developed a structured internal training programme where the individual can monitor their own progress in developing the skills and experience to operate at the highest level possible. Junior staff members are assigned a mentor who will assist in career development and at times challenge ambitions to ensure junior staff achieve their potential.
Your Wellness
EOBA also concentrates on the individual to ensure that work is enjoyable and work life balance can be easily maintained. To achieve balance EOBA have recently introduced an optional four-day week while this entails longer days it also reduces commuting time and increases the personal time. EOBA are also well resourced to enable remote working with all our reference material available on a “cloud” based system. EOBA are also developing a facility to support gym membership to enhance personal wellbeing.
Our Environment
EOBA’s office is based a Ranelagh which has a thriving social scene with many restaurants and bars where we have relaxed social gatherings to counterbalance work. Ranelagh is very well served by Public Transport with Trams, buses, and readily available taxis. EOBA also operated the bike to work scheme – indeed many staff members walk to work. EOBA are also very committed to our environmental responsibilities and are the only Fire Consultants in Ireland that has achieved ISO environmental recognition.
