We at EOBA take great pride in offering our Fire Safety Consultancy services for the construction of the remarkable Ardee Ambulance Base. The single-storey building, located on the northern edge of St. Joseph’s Hospital in Ardee, Co. Louth, has achieved notable recognition. It was shortlisted for the esteemed RIAI Awards 2023 and received the prestigious ‘Wellbeing’ award at the RIAI (Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland) Awards 2023.
The construction features a captivating design, with Iroko Teak cladding, and includes offices, rest areas for staff, a garage for vehicles, a wash area, and external covered parking specifically designed for ambulances. The RIAI aptly described the building as “a simple rectangular pavilion with an efficient layout, generous floor-to-ceiling heights, and large windows, providing a sense of calm.”
We are thrilled to have been part of this project and to have contributed to the creation of a remarkable facility that promotes both functionality and serenity.
