This page sets out how Eamon O’Boyle and Associates handle personal information provided to us, and  collected when our website is visited and when using our services.

What information do we collect?

When corresponding with people we my collect personal information names, email address and phone numbers of you or your company as well as other pertinent data relevant to the projects we engage in.  We collect information for the following purposes:

  • For correspondence with our clients
  • To deliver complete services to our clients
  • To audit and improve our business, services, site and processes 
  • To comply with our statutory and legal obligations

We only process your personal information if it is necessary to do so to satisfactorily preform our services as per the contract, where we have obtained your consent, and where we have legitimate interest in doing so, e.g. in conducting business, for administrative, statutory or legal obligations.

We also collect some information from your use of this site in the form of cookies. 

What are Cookies

Cookies is a small packet of data that a computer receives and then sends back.  When you visit his website, the website’s server sends a small text file to your computer or other device.  Your computer stores this in a file located on your web browser.  The purpose of the cookie is to help the website keep track of visits and daily activity on the site.  The cookies store information anonymously and assign a randomly generated number to identify each unique visitor.

Technical and organisational measures have been put in place to safeguard the data retained on our systems.  These systems are audited and updated on an ongoing basis.

Article 15 of the GDPR gives individuals the right to obtain the following data:

  • Confirmation of whether or not personal data concerning you is being processed;
  • Where personal data concerning you is being processed, a copy of your personal data
  • Where personal data concerning you is being processed, other additional information as follows:
    • Purpose(s) of the processing
    • Categories of Personal Data
    • Particular recipients in third countries / international organisations and their safeguards
    • retention period or criteria used to determine the retention period
    • the existence of the right to Rectification, Erasure, Restrict Processing or Object
  • the right to raise concern with the Data Protection Commission
  • Where personal data is not collected from the data subject, the source of the data
  • the existence of automated decision making, or profiling and relevant information on how these decisions are made.
