Framework for Enhancing Fire Safety in Dwellings

In the interests of supporting owners and residents living in developments where concerns regarding non-compliance with fire safety requirements arise, the Minister for Housing, Planning and Local Government, directed that a review be undertaken by an independent fire safety expert to develop a framework for general application in such situations.

A Steering Group was established and EOBA were appointed to carry out that review. The framework was designed to provide advice and guidance to occupiers of dwellings or apartments, of measures necessary to ensure an equivalent level of fire safety based upon the level of risk associated with identified fire safety deficiencies; and to professional advisors (including Local Authorities)
